WMF Attends ‘Peace for Humanity Conference 2011’

WMF had the privilege to attend and set up a stall at the event ‘Muhammad the Merciful’ held by the ‘Peace for Humanity Conference’ Minhaj Ul Quran. This programme was attended by over 10,000 people from all over the Country and was held in the Wembley Arena in London.
The main purpose of this event was to promote peace for all of humanity. It proved to be a successful occasion with people gathering from all faiths and backgrounds. Hosted and main feature of the programme was by world renowned speaker ‘Professor Muhammad Tahir Ul Qadri’.
WMF saw this opportunity to reach out to the many other wider communities of the United Kingdom at this event. Members of the WMF team got together and arranged a stall with fundraising activity. The team worked especially hard to educate spectators of the event about the current situation in Pakistan, The Work that is taking place and the Housing Project.
Overall WMF was overwhelmed by the support from people financially and the empathy towards the cause. All proceedings will be banked into the funding to continue our housing project in Pakistan. More over WMF is happy to have spoken to people from many other cities and raise awareness and build the portfolio of WMF activity.

A big Thank You to the Volunteers at the Event.
