WMF raises over £17,000 on Saturday 12th November for the Housing Project in Pakistan.
This charity dinner was organised by WMF and local community station ‘Ambur Radio’ to help raise funds for the continuation of work in Pakistan.
The evening was attended by over 450 people from all over Wolverhampton and Walsall and surrounding areas. people of all faiths and backgrounds once again pulled together to participate in this event and help support this noble cause.
The night progressed with a presentations of the work so far in Pakistan on the Housing Project along with various speeches of WMF Members and Guests. To complete the evening various entertainment and performances were delivered for the audience. Ambur radio played a huge role in promoting this event on radio and within the local community, further to this they helped in arranging the performances on the night.
With your support WMF was able to raise over £17,000 from this event enough to build 6 houses as part of the village project in Pakistan.
We are pleased that even a year on since the disaster we were still able to pull together the community and raise funds to continue this project.
Overall the event was a success with many people commenting on the evening. WMF will like to thank all sponsors and attendees to this event and also those who supported but were unable to come. We are proud of the people of Wolverhampton and surrounding area to have supported us and walked with us all the way since last year, without their support this would not have been possible to achieve.
WMF is now looking at delivering a series of smaller events throughout the course of 2012 to continue our ongoing efforts in Pakistan. If you would like to get involved or have some suggestions please contact us and we will be delighted to speak with you.
Photographs and Video of this event will be published online very soon, please look out.
